Taskr privacy policy
Taskr is a free todo app made by one person, Anish Kapse. It has no ads, sells nothing and doesn't track you across other sites. If you use it without an account, your tasks never leave your browser. This page says exactly what is kept, where, and how to delete it.
Without an account
Everything you add stays on your own device: your tasks in your browser's IndexedDB, and your settings (theme, view, lists, saved templates, reminders and similar) in its localStorage. None of it is sent to a server. Clearing site data for taskr-todo.vercel.app in your browser removes all of it.
With an account
An account is optional. If you create one, Taskr keeps these in its database so your tasks sync between your devices:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address, and a password stored only as a secure hash by Supabase Auth | To sign you in. Taskr itself never sees your password. |
| If you sign in with Google: the name, email address and profile picture Google shares | To sign you in. Taskr asks Google for nothing else, and can't see your Google account, email or files. |
| Your tasks and subtasks, with their descriptions, statuses, due dates, repeats, order, lists and saved templates | To show the same tasks on every device where you sign in. |
| When a task was started and completed | For your stats (tasks done per week, streaks). |
| Settings such as theme, view and the list you had open | So your devices open the way you left them. |
| Your signed-in sessions, with the browser and device type and when each was last used | To keep you signed in, and to list them under Signed-in devices so you can sign others out. |
Deleted tasks go to Recently deleted, where you can restore them for 30 days; after that they are removed for good. When your devices sync live, the message between them only says that something changed, never what.
Reminders and notifications
If you turn on due-date reminders, the notifications are created in your browser from the tasks already on your device. Nothing is sent to a server to make them.
Analytics
Taskr uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't see your tasks and doesn't identify you.
Who else is involved
- Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in for accounts.
- Vercel hosts the website and counts page views.
- Google, only if you choose Sign in with Google, to confirm who you are.
Your data isn't sold or shared with anyone else, and isn't used for advertising.
Your choices
- Use Taskr without an account, and nothing leaves your device.
- Export your tasks from the account menu as a Markdown file at any time.
- Delete your account from the account menu. Your account and all its tasks, lists and templates are removed straight away.
- Sign out other devices from Signed-in devices in the account menu.

Changes
If what Taskr keeps changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top changed. Taskr is open source, so you can check any of this against the code on GitHub.
